Shangri-La

Shangri-La

The drive to Shangri-La was beautiful, driving along the sides of the mountains, unfortunately, we didn’t stop at many points so the number of epic mountain top photos are fairly limited :(
We did stop at one lookout point to take some photographs.

Shortly after the lookout point, we got to Tiger Leaping Gorge, a 2.3 km walk through a gorge.

At the end, there was a large rock in the middle of the stream.

Afterwards, we went to have lunch and do more tour bus type shopping. I went outside and found some locals playing chess. One of the locals even brought his yak along.

We went to another shop after that and I went on the road and took some more pictures.

Afterwards, we dropped off our stuff at the hotel and headed to a “family” dinner house. Traditional Naxi food and entertainment. There was lots and lots of meat.

Huge Roasted Pig

We were all pretty tired from eating and cheering on the performers, that it was straight to sleep afterwards.
