Lijiang

Lijiang

Waking up at 6:00, we were on the road to Lijiang at 7:00. It’s approximately a 4.5 hour drive. We stopped over at an area… whose name I don’t remember.
It was composed of a lake with a bunch of different areas around it.

The first area, was some shops selling jade and gold. The next area was a little town type area, where there were more vendors selling various things such as food, clothing and trinkets. The third area, was a mountainous area, to get to the side of the mountain where all the attractions are, you have to take a little roller-coaster type cart around the mountain.

Once around the other side of the mountain, there’s a waterfall called the Guan Yin Fei… something.

Afterwards, you have to ride a boat to get back to the entrance.

Afterwards, it was back on the road, still heading to Lijiang. Once we arrived, we dropped off our stuff at the hotel and headed to Lijiang Ancient City.

(Thanks to the two photographers who were posed in their funny photographer poses, allowing me to notice the awesome shot as well).
The tour guide then sent us on our way to explore on our own, and I just explored the town on my own the rest of the night.

The ancient city and Lijiang itself, is a very busy bustling city full of shops and interesting restaurants to eat it. It’s especially known for it’s night life, with street full of restaurant-bars. More on that in Lijiang pt 2. =)
